The infilling of the Spirit is an important topic; but, it is also somehow controversial due to the interference of human views without going back to the biblical truths; and also due to the interference of emotional responses and reactions which may lead to mixing the truth and lack of authenticity in the spiritual experience.
Important characteristics of the work of the Holy Spirit in the person:
The Holy Spirit has a manifold and rich work in the life of a Christian. The Scriptures present this work in three forms:
- Water
- Oil
- Fire
The infilling may take place at the same time of starting one’s life in Christ and it continues to grow and increase. It may also stop due to spiritual battles, sins, or lack of experience, especially for the beginners.
